After completing computer training, you will receive your username as password from NBGH.
The URL to connect to is https://citrix.thocc.org.
Once you are connected, you will need to install the Citrix Metaframe client software. THere is a link for this on the login page. If you cannot find this link, you can also go here to download the software.
After connecting to the website and completing the Citrix install (you should only have to do this once, and I did not have to do this on my system at work or on my Mac at home), you can launch the Cerner Powerchart application from its icon, and log in using the username and password they supplied for you.Note that after installing the Citrix Metaframe software, you will need to close ALL browser windows and the quit the application, then relaunch your web browser for the installed software to become active.
Also note that there may be other applications other than Cerner Powerchart which you may (or may not) have access to by clicking on those icons.
The Synapse system is located at https://nbghpacs.nbgh.org/. You will need to install the necessary software (for Synapse) when you connect, just as you needed the Citrix Metaframe software above. I have not yet tried this myself. I doubt this will work on a Macintosh, btw.
You can connect to SFH using the Citrix infrastructure (which seems to work on Windows and Mac; I think Linux will work as well).
Follow the following steps:
Note that once you are connected in this fashion, any connections you make through your web browser will actually go through SFH's network. As a result, you can type any link that would work on SFH's internal network (such as "Library") it will work just as if you were on an SFH computer. In particular, if you go to "Library" and fron there to e-journals, you can connect as though you were inside SFH's network to get access to journals via SFH's subscriptions.
Connect to the their website at https://vpn.echn.org/webvpn.html.
Enter the username and password provided by Manchester Memorial Hospital.
This should start a VPN connection to MMH; you will need to click "OK" to access the VPN connection.
Once connected, you will be connected to the MMH network (rather than to our internal network), and can then run the MMH applications which have been installed on your computer.
The application needed is called "Multimate" and you will log in to this application using the same username/password as for your VPN setup. To print, you may need to set up a printer named "PPII", although I will have already done this for you on your system in the office.
You will also have access to the MMH radiology system to review X-rays. If this has not been set up for you already, you can download the appropriate software, and then unzip the enclosed file and double click on the "install" script to install this software.
Click here to connect to Middlesex Hospital.
The VM client can be automatically loaded; from there, you can log in using your RESULTS username and password.
